Miss Manners

As most of you all know, I am busy as a bee planning my September wedding and I am just bursting at the seams with excitement. Thankfully, I plan events for a living which has helped tremendously. I am also not afraid to admit that I am a huge nerd when it comes to organization of materials for situations such as these. I take a lot of pride in the amazing planning binder I put together. In my basket of tricks are all sorts of surprises and creative ideas but what is sitting on top of it all is my Emily Post Etiquette book. I remember opening it a few years ago as a Christmas gift from my sweet Mom and thinking to myself when am I ever going to need this! If only I knew that this book would become my best friend. Let me tell you, the section on weddings is a dream come true and has been a wonderful reference guide to random questions that pop in my head throughout the day. I am a huge proponent of all things proper and polite and in my humble opinion, everyone should have a copy of Emily Post's book to have on hand. And weddings are not even a fraction of what this book covers. Emily Post covers it all.

The protocol for politeness should never be underestimated.
