It's time to Stop and Smell the Roses again. Now, a show of hands...how many of you spent at least 30 minutes last week with avocado and olive oil lathered all up on your lovely locks!? As Mark and I enjoyed our homemade pizza on Friday night, my Twitter was lighting up like a Christmas tree from all you girls and your avocado + olive oil dates. I hope that as a result, you all have soft, silky, smooth Princess hair that you just can't keep your hands off of this week!
I am happy to say that I did my video this week in ONE TAKE. I gathered some patience and even played around with more edits in iMovie. Mandy filmed a great tutorial that I found very helpful. I'm a visual learner and it was much better than sitting here with my head in a tizzy trying to figure it out for myself.
This week is about a LOT of hot pink, years of searching for the perfect chapstick finally coming to an end, and conquering a new skill...all while not being able to put a book down.
Items mentioned in my vlog:
For HOT PINK lips...Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wild Orchid
The perfect chapstick... EOS Sweet Mint Organic Lip Balm Sphere
happy summer nails... Essie Peach Daiquiri
a book that I cannot put down... Bloom, by Kelle Hampton
If you're having a chevron moment like me, and if you're inspired to sew something, too, I found some similar fabric and it can be purchased HERE.
As I said in my vlog, I am completely moved by Kelle's story. The words are perfectly woven together, the emotions are raw and I'm finding myself limiting my time reading each day because I'm just not ready for it to be over yet. I'm not going to say anything else other than PLEASE READ THIS BOOK. If you are not familiar with Kelle's blog, Enjoying the Small Things, I urge you to check it out! (thank you Danica for yet another GEM!)
Link up with Mandy at House of Rose and share your weekly happies!
Find the little things in your days and then take time to smile about them. Wishing you all a happy day!
I know I probably say this every week, but seriously you are adorable!! You are totally rockin' that bright lipstick!! LOVE it!! I'm also loving that Essie nailpolish!! I have never bought Essie nailpolish....where do you buy it?ReplyDelete
You are THE CUTEST!! Can we seriously be IRL friends right now?!?!?! I totally need to get on that Essie color also! :o)ReplyDelete
You are awesome. You definitely shared the positivity and beauty in things! I love the lipstick, I wish I could pull off pink but even your color blind hubby would be able to tell that the pink with my red hair were a train wreck!ReplyDelete
Everyone already said it, but are SUCH a cutie! Love all the products and I WISH I could pull of bright lipstick but I always feel silly! I think I need to give it another go though. Oh, and you are like the 6th person to recommend Bloom so I am totally downloading a copy today.ReplyDelete
Look at you and your editing skills girl!! Great job! I adore Essie nail polish. It's all I buy! I almost talked about a new color I was loving this week, but then we went for the eye makeup/hair joint vlog! Next week, next week! I know I said this before but you can rock the bright lipstick. I still haven't got the courage to try it just yet. :) Love that fabric for the pillow too. Are we the same person? I swear I like everything you talk about! LOL!ReplyDelete
Great shares this week! I've heard Essie polish is awesome, but never heard details about why. If it'll last longer than the norm then I'm in! I've also been eyeing that chapstick for a while. And, I'm defintiely having a chevron moment too! Love the pillow!ReplyDelete
I love that lipstick on you! I could never pull that off. I will definitely check out that chapstick though as I'm more of a nude lips kinda gal. You did a great job on that pillow! LOOOOOVE chevron!ReplyDelete

I want all the fun pink colored things! Now that you have started sewing are you totally addicted yet? When I first got my machine I sewed non-stop! I need to make new pillow covers for all our throw pillows in the living room. Everything is so dark and wintery right now. Makes me very jealous of your fun chevron!ReplyDelete
